Ustedes, mujeres, se someten a su esposo como al Señor; porque el esposo es la cabeza de la esposa, así como Cristo es la cabeza de la iglesia, siendo él mismo el salvador del cuerpo. Efesios 5,22,23

Pensamiento, comentario, reflexión: esposas, someterse a sus propios maridos - Como el Señor, a saber. Cristo, es la cabeza o gobernador de la Iglesia, y la cabeza del hombre, así como el hombre es la cabeza o gobernador de la mujer. Esta es la ordenanza de Dios y no debe ser transgredida. El esposo no debe ser un tirano, y la esposa no debe ser el gobernador. El viejo Francis Quarles, en sus rimas caseras, aludiendo a la noción supersticiosa de que el canto de un pollo es desafortunado para la familia, dijo:

"Voy a prosperar la familia infeliz que muestra

Un gallo que calla y una gallina que canta:

No sé quién vive la mayoría de las vidas no naturales,

Obedecer a los maridos o mandar esposas. "

En cuanto al Señor, la palabra Iglesia parece entenderse necesariamente aquí; es decir: Actúa bajo la autoridad de tus esposos, como la Iglesia actúa bajo la autoridad de Cristo. Así como la Iglesia se somete al Señor, las esposas pueden someterse a sus esposos.

Confesión de fe

Confieso mi pecado y le pido perdón, y libérame de toda condenación. Reconozco a Jesucristo como mi único y suficiente Salvador y Señor de mi vida. Escribe mi nombre en el libro de la vida.

You women submit to your husband as to the Lord; for the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church, being himself the savior of the body. Ephesians 5,22,23

Thought, comment, reflection: wives, submit to their own husbands - Like the Lord, viz. Christ is the head or governor of the Church, and the head of man, just as man is the head or governor of woman. This is God's ordinance and must not be transgressed. The husband must not be a tyrant, and the wife must not be the governor. Old Francis Quarles, in his homemade rhymes, alluding to the superstitious notion that the singing of a chicken is unfortunate for the family, said:

"I will prosper the unhappy family that shows

A rooster that is silent and a hen that crows:

I don't know who lives most unnatural lives,

Obey husbands or send wives. "

As for the Lord, the word Church seems to be understood necessarily here; that is: Act under the authority of your spouses, as the Church acts under the authority of Christ. Just as the Church submits to the Lord, wives can submit to their husbands.
