Y si el Espíritu del que levantó a Jesús de la muerte habita en ti, el que resucitó a Cristo de la muerte también avivará tu cuerpo mortal por medio de su Espíritu que habita en ti. Romanos 8,11

Pensamiento, Comentario, Reflexión: Pero si es el Espíritu, este versículo confirma el significado dado al anterior. Quien reciba la gracia y el Espíritu de Cristo aquí, y continúe viviendo bajo su influencia una vida de obediencia a la voluntad divina, tendrá una resurrección a la vida eterna; y la resurrección de Cristo será el estándar después del cual serán resucitados.

En el verso anterior, Pablo mencionó que el cuerpo estaba siendo condenado a muerte, debido al hecho de que parte de la oración original todavía estaba en funcionamiento, incluso contra los cristianos; pero incluso la muerte del cuerpo finalmente debe ser anulada por la salvación que está en Cristo Jesús. Tal anulación ocurrirá cuando los "muertos en Cristo"

resucitar para encontrarse con el Señor en el aire. La resurrección misma, en este versículo, depende de la morada del Espíritu, ya que se promete: "Si el Espíritu ... habita en ti".

And if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from death dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from death will also revive your mortal body through his Spirit that dwells in you. Romans 8.11

Thought, Commentary, Reflection: But if it is the Spirit, this verse confirms the meaning given to the previous one. Whoever receives the grace and Spirit of Christ here, and continues to live under his influence a life of obedience to the divine will, will have a resurrection to eternal life; and the resurrection of Christ will be the standard after which they will be resurrected.

In the previous verse, Paul mentioned that the body was being condemned to death, due to the fact that part of the original prayer was still in operation, even against Christians; but even the death of the body must finally be annulled by the salvation that is in Christ Jesus. Such annulment will occur when the "dead in Christ"

resurrect to meet the Lord in the air. The resurrection itself, in this verse, depends on the dwelling place of the Spirit, since it is promised: "If the Spirit ... dwells in you."

The resurrection of Christ appears here as a promise of a resurrection similar to that of Christians, a resurrection of their "mortal bodies," just as the mortal body of Christ was resurrected and recognized by his disciples. Therefore, salvation is more than just saving the soul, although this is just as glorious; but it teaches that body and soul will share the supreme glory of eternal life. The great connection between the resurrection of Christ and the final resurrection of his disciples is the blessed ministry of the Holy Spirit in Christian hearts, and thus the absolute need for the Spirit's residence in Christian hearts appears. Here,

along with Romans 8: 9, it leads to the conclusion that if one does not have the Spirit of God in his soul, he is not a Christian, he is not in Christ, he is not saved and he is not Christ in any way.
