Si guardas mis mandamientos, permanecerás en mi amor, así como yo he guardado los mandamientos de mi Padre y permanezco en su amor. San Juan 15,10

Pensamiento, comentario, reflexión: El amor de Cristo por sus discípulos y su amor mutuo por ellos no indican una condición emocional subjetiva, sino un curso de acción obediente. Este versículo es casi lo opuesto a Juan 14:15 (quién ve); y juntos enseñan fuertemente que el amor de Cristo por parte de los hombres significa guardar los mandamientos de Cristo. Esto se ve reforzado por la verdad, también declarada en este versículo, de que incluso el amor del Padre por el Hijo significaba guardar los mandamientos de Dios.

Nuevamente en Juan, se revela que la relación entre cristianos y Cristo es la misma que entre Cristo y el Padre.

El espíritu obediente del verdadero discipulado, nutriendo y atrayendo la continuación y el aumento del amor de Cristo; ¡y esto, agrega, era el secreto de su propia permanencia en el amor de su Padre!

Confieso mi pecado y le pido perdón, y libérame de toda condenación. Reconozco a Jesucristo como mi único y suficiente Salvador y Señor de mi vida. Escribe mi nombre en el libro de la vida.

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love. Saint John 15.10

Thought, comment, reflection: Christ's love for his disciples and his mutual love for them do not indicate a subjective emotional condition, but an obedient course of action. This verse is almost the opposite of John 14:15 (who sees); and together they strongly teach that the love of Christ by men means keeping the commandments of Christ. This is reinforced by the truth, also stated in this verse, that even the Father's love for the Son meant keeping God's commandments.

Again in John, it is revealed that the relationship between Christians and Christ is the same as that between Christ and the Father.

The obedient spirit of true discipleship, nurturing and attracting the continuation and increase of the love of Christ; And this, he adds, was the secret of his own permanence in the love of his Father!
