A quien Dios quería dar a conocer cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre los gentiles, que es Cristo en ti, la esperanza de gloria. Colosenses 1,27

En una sola oración, es 'Cristo en ti'. Mirando de cerca el pasaje, vemos que él hace ciertas declaraciones con respecto a esta misteriosa unión entre Cristo y su pueblo.

1 - Es un secreto. A quien Dios haría saber cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio.

2 - Es un secreto, una vez escondido, pero ahora revelado. El Apóstol dice que este misterio ha estado oculto por siglos y generaciones. El misterio de Cristo no pudo revelarse completamente de una vez. El Señor Cristo estaba escondido en el misterio de la Unidad Divina; escondido en el consejo secreto de Dios; escondido en tipo y profecía y ceremonia

genial hasta que al final del mundo parecía eliminar el pecado sacrificándose a sí mismo.

3 - Es un secreto acerca de la morada, Cristo en ti, dice el apóstol, no Cristo para ti. Solo hay una vida santa. No hay santo sino el Señor, y si eres santo, debes dejar que Cristo viva su vida en ti.

The Lord Christ was hidden in the mystery of Divine Unity; hidden in the secret counsel of God; hidden in type and prophecy and ceremony

3 - It is a secret about the dwelling, Christ in you, says the apostle, not Christ for you. There is only one holy life. There is no saint but the Lord, and if you are holy, you must let Christ live his life in you.
