Jesús le dijo: ¿No te he dicho que si crees, verás la gloria de Dios? JUAN 11.40

Pensamiento, comentario: ¿Es la gloria de Dios algo que se puede ver, con estos ojos imperfectos, de las criaturas humanas? Jesús dijo que sí, en su esfuerzo por consolar a Marta, llorando por la muerte de su querido hermano Lázaro: "Jesús respondió: ¿No te dije que si crees, verás la revelación del glorioso poder de Dios?" (Juan 11:40)

Antes que nada, escuchemos a Dios mismo hablando a Moisés: “No te dejaré ver mi rostro, porque nadie puede ver mi rostro y seguir vivo” (Éxodo 33:20). La palabra de Jesús a Marta nos enseña que "la revelación del glorioso poder de Dios" es posible. Pero no con los ojos de la cara. Pero con los recursos de la fe, no se avergüenza de confiar en el Señor.

En la galería de la fe, pintada por las palabras inspiradas del Autor de la Carta a los Hebreos, leemos: "Por la fe, miles recibieron a sus muertos, que fueron resucitados" (Hebreos 11:35). Incluso hoy, es a través de la oración de fe que el Señor nos libera de las prisiones mortales de nuestros pecados. Incluso hoy, es por fe que oramos y lloramos durante años, hasta que vemos a nuestro ser querido con sus cadenas de adicción destrozadas por Jesús. Incluso hoy, es por fe que humildemente "vemos" la gloria de Dios. La gloria de Dios está siempre a nuestra disposición, para ser vista, asimilada, comunicada. ¿Nunca has visto "la revelación del glorioso poder de Dios"? Pruebe esta sencilla receta: viva a Cristo, en su trabajo, en la vida de su familia, en su iglesia. Si haces esto, los hombres verán las cosas buenas que haces y alabarán a "tu Padre en el cielo" (Mateo 5:16). ¡Esto es gloria!

Jesus said to him, Have I not said that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? John 11.40

Thought, Comment: Is the glory of God something to be seen, with these imperfect eyes, of human creatures? Jesus said yes, in his effort to comfort Martha, weeping over the death of his dear brother Lazarus: "Jesus answered - Didn't I tell you that if you believe, you will see the revelation of God's glorious power?" (John 11:40).

First of all, let us hear God Himself speaking to Moses: “I will not let you see My face: for no one can see My face and remain alive” (Exodus 33:20). Jesus' word to Martha is teaching us that “the revelation of God's glorious power” is possible. But not with the eyes of the face. But with the resources of faith, he is not ashamed to trust the Lord.

In the gallery of faith, painted by the inspired words of the Author of the Letter to the Hebrews, we read: “By faith, thousands received their dead back, who were raised again” (Hebrews 11:35). Even today, it is through prayer of faith that the Lord delivers us from the deadly prisons of our sins. Even today, it is by faith that we pray and cry for years on end, until we see our loved one have their fetters of vice shattered by Jesus. Even today, it is by faith that we humbly “see” the glory of God. The glory of God is always at our disposal, to be seen, to be assimilated, to be communicated. Have you never seen "the revelation of the glorious power of God"? Try this simple recipe: live Christ, in your work, in your family's life, in your church. If you do this, men will see the good things you do and will praise "your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). This is glory!
